What a GLP-1 plan includes beyond medication
The most useful cost comparison separates medication, provider access, shipping and any required testing. A plan described as inclusive still needs a defined scope, and choosing a different pharmacy can change the arrangement.

Start with the services you will actually receive
A medication figure and a complete treatment-program figure are different kinds of price. Find out whether the offer includes the initial review, ongoing prescriber access, follow-up appointments, delivery and supplies. If testing is required, check whether it is included or separately charged.
Avoid filling gaps with zeroes. When a source does not establish a cost, the answer is unknown. The registry's true-cost explanation distinguishes recorded required fees from terms that have not been checked. That prevents an incomplete amount from appearing to be a guaranteed all-in quote.
What three providers disclose
Eden's October 2026 source includes medication, provider review, clinical support, messaging and priority delivery in its current offer. It also describes provider-directed labwork as included when needed. That last condition matters: it is not a promise to cover any test a patient requests from any laboratory.
Sprout's current source lists the provider visit, medication and shipping as included. The annual and four-week billing options still need to be compared separately. The inclusion statement does not establish that every other possible expense has been assessed.
Willow's published plan includes medication, medical evaluation, doctor access, support and shipping. Its FAQ also describes an exception: a patient choosing a different pharmacy pays an unspecified platform fee and covers medication costs directly. That route cannot be priced by simply reusing the standard bundled offer.
Ask a question for each missing component
| Component | Useful question |
|---|---|
| Initial clinical review | Is it included even if no prescription is issued? |
| Follow-up care | Which visits or messages are included, and for how long? |
| Shipping | Does the offer cover every refill and replacement shipment? |
| Testing | Which tests are required, who orders them and who pays? |
| Medication | Is the quoted figure for the actual formulation and supply period? |
| Pharmacy choice | Does selecting another pharmacy change program fees? |
Answers can differ between programs offered by the same provider. Treat a general homepage claim as a starting point, then read the conditions attached to the chosen program.
What this research does not count
Shipping and laboratory coverage are not complete structured fields throughout this registry. We therefore do not publish a percentage of providers that include them. That would make three checked examples look like a census.
Instead, the article combines current named source readings with a framework for evaluating the rest of the program inventory. General data observations span August 2026–October 2026. Open the individual record for the date and wording that support any price. A named pharmacy network also does not identify the pharmacy that will fill a particular patient's prescription.
